ORANGEBURG —

With his team holding a commanding lead at the Rockland County wrestling championships at Tappan Zee High School Saturday, North Rockland’s Matt Caputo put his focus on beating rival Colby Kash from Clarkstown North in the finals.

“Nothing feels better than beating your rival,” said Caputo, who won the 138-pound title with a 9-2 decision and improved to 5-3 over Kash in his varsity career. “I’ve been wrestling close matches against Colby since I was in sixth grade. So it feels good dominating him today.”
