Apex Wrestling School is proud to sponsor and partner with PinCancer.org
The wrestling community is one of the largest and most tightly knit communities of student-athletes and parents in the country. We encourage everyone in this community to support Pin Cancer. Below is some information about the organization as well as links to their website and social media:
|Mission. The Pin Cancer Campaign is a call to action to help defeat the world’s toughest opponent by rallying the greater US wrestling community in the fight against cancer.||Vision. 1 in 2 people are directly affected by cancer. The Pin Cancer Campaign seeks to become how every level of the wrestling community can fight cancer and raise awareness, together.|
Our History. The Pin Cancer Campaign was started in the Fall of 2011 by a former New Jersey wrestler Dan Tramontozzi, who began the journey in honor of his mother who is currently battling cancer. He realized the match his mom was fighting was bigger than any match he starred in throughout his standout career. He wanted to help raise awareness throughout the greater wrestling community and unite the toughest sport in the world to help bring down the toughest opponent.
The Pin Cancer Campaign is a recognized 501c(3) non profit organization. All funds raised through Pin Cancer go to various cancer research centers around the US as well as scholarship opportunities for wrestlers who have been affected by cancer first hand.
